Al Nokhba, a school in 45 days!
Köda's renovation of Al Nokhba School ushers in a majestic theme with improved transparency and connectivity. The plan maximises openness with large windows, centring around a luminous, glass-surrounded canteen, flanked by classrooms and courtyards. The first-floor library, accessible by corridors, cultivates a learning and engagement culture.
The interiors are adorned with royal colours and child-friendly furniture from the Kidzink collection, creating a warm, collaborative environment. The exterior, featuring traditional jali-patterned beige aluminium panels, marries modernity with tradition, reflecting Abu Dhabi's heritage.
Creative spatial arrangements include breakout spaces, specialised labs, and kindergartens with garden access, fostering curiosity and cross-disciplinary learning. Classrooms with arched windows combine traditional charm with modern functionality.
Efficiency improvements, such as optimal natural light and adaptable furniture arrangements, highlight the school's commitment to sustainability and pupil well-being, ensuring every area is functional and purposeful.
